The Venerable Lama Paljin Tulku Rinpoche is a fully ordained Italian Buddhist monk. Of Tibetan tradition (Mahayana Vajrayana), he has practiced Buddhism for forty years. He follows the teachings of His Holiness the Dalai Lama and was a disciple of some of the major Tibetan Masters who fled Tibet after the Chinese invasion.
He is the only Italian Tulku, which, according to Tibetan Buddhist Tradition, means he is a recognized reincarnation of a previous Master who, having reached a high level of realization, is able to choose the manner of his own rebirth. Venerable Paljin Tulku Rinpoche currently sits among the Masters governing the Lamayuru Monastery and holds the throne of the Atitse Monastery, which has become an international meditation center under his guidance.
He is the founder and spiritual guide of the “Centro Studi Tibetani Mandala” in Milan and the Mandala Samten Ling Monastery in Graglia Santuario, the Italian seat of the Drikung Kagyu tradition. He studied under philosopher Aldo Testa and graduated from the Higher Institute of Human and Social Sciences, which he founded in Urbino.
In addition to promoting various humanitarian initiatives in Ladakh, India, Nepal, Ethiopia, and Peru, Venerable Lama Paljin Tulku Rinpoche is among the founders of the Milan Forum of Religions and has long been an active and committed advocate of interfaith dialogue, both nationally and internationally.
