Gionata Stancher

Researcher and science communicator
Born in Trento in 1980, Gionata Stancher is a seasoned researcher and science communicator with a background in evolutionary biology, neuroscience, and cognitive sciences. He holds a Ph.D. in these fields along with a master’s degree in science communication. Stancher has published extensively in international scientific journals and serves as the curator of zoology at the Fondazione Museo Civico di Rovereto, where he also organizes exhibitions and educational events aimed at fostering a deeper understanding of the natural world.
His interdisciplinary approach combines insights from neuroscience, comparative animal psychology, and evolutionary biology, revealing the advanced cognitive and emotional capacities of non-human species. This knowledge challenges the long-held anthropocentric view of human superiority, offering a more holistic understanding of our place in the natural world.
